Introduction to Boards & Commissions
Eagle Mountain City boards and commission members serve a vital role in supporting the community and City staff and elected officials by providing insight to policy makers, planning informative and instructional events, and outreach to select populations.
Boards and commissions are made up of un-paid volunteers serving typically 3 or 4 year terms. Serving on a board or commission is an excellent way to be more directly involved in the community and to help shape the activities of the city that you are interested in.
Anyone interested in being on a board or commission must complete this form. Please note that an application does not guarantee you a position on a board or commission. Applicants are selected based on qualifications. Eagle Mountain City does not and shall not discriminate based on race, color, religion, gender, age, national origin, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status.
Expectations
Participation on a board or commission involves dedicating time to attending meetings, helping with board or commission sponsored or planned events, and becoming familiar with city operations, budgets, and so forth. Please do not submit an application for a vacancy if you do not believe you can attend at least a monthly meeting through the duration of your term and contribute additional time as necessary for other activities.
